One thing that was a game changer for me and something that I would recommend everyone to do is to divide your monthly expenses, your monthly bills, in half. And then every single time you get paid, you put it into a savings account. Hear me out. I feel like a lot of people will literally take one full check, because most people get paid two times a month. They'll take one full check and that will cover all of their rent and then they'll be left with nothing else. Like to me, I can't live that way. Like I can't go two weeks of not having certain things just because rent was due. So basically how I do it, my monthly expenses are about 43.97 every single month. I've ran the numbers, I've calculated everything, okay? I divide that into two, so that's about 21.98. Every time I get paid, it goes into a savings account. That way, when the first of the month comes up for rent, literally, rent money is already there, my gas and electric is already there, my gas money, like everything is already there. And technically, I end up being ahead of the program. Another cool thing about this strategy is that people who typically get bi-weekly pay end up getting paid three times a month, two times out the year, okay? So on those specific months, you have an extra two weeks of expenses that you end up saving. So with that, I can either save that or I can invest that or I can put that towards something else. Or you can get ahead on your bills.
