I got paid. Let's do a paycheck breakdown and see how much I was able to invest from this pay period. Keep in mind that I do get paid biweekly. For gross pay, I made $6,667.14. My deductions total out to be $892.33. My taxes were $1,624.55. My take-home pay was $4,150.26. Let's discuss how much I actually was able to invest from that amount. So for 401k, I had mindset at 10% contribution, no match. Don't eat me up, y'all, okay? That was $614.20. My brokerage account I contributed $455 to. My daughter's 529 I contributed $125. All together that's $1,649.20. Reminded that I did already max out my Roth IRA. So altogether I was able to invest about 39.7% of take-home pay, 24.7% of my gross pay.
