Living strong without gym? Here’s how: Most people try to “get strong” by going to the gym or collecting random skills. But functional strength is built on a base …and without it, progress stalls. Here’s the framework I use to build a real strength base with bodyweight: 1️⃣ Master the 5 patterns ☑︎ Push (push-ups, dips) ☑︎ Pull (rows, pull-ups) ☑︎ Squat (with progressions) ☑︎ Hinge (hip hinges, hamstring work) ☑︎ Core (anti-extension, anti-rotation, etc.) 2️⃣ Earn full range of motion If you cannot control the bottom position, you do not own the rep. Slow eccentrics + pauses build the joints and tendons. 3️⃣ Train strength like strength Pick 2–3 main moves per session. Do 3–5 sets of 3–8 clean reps. Rest long enough to keep quality high. 4️⃣ Add “connective tissue volume” Finish with lighter sets (8–15 reps) and isometrics. This is what makes you durable. 5️⃣ Progress one variable at a time • More reps • More load • More range • More control • More leverage Never all at once! I’m cheering you on! — Markus
