FetCon 2026 is coming up and here are two true stories about my first time at FetCon as a civilian. During the day in the hotel there are classes which of course I am super interested in and I am wearing high heels as always. So after walking around for a few hours I went and sat in the lobby to rest my feet. So this is a hotel buyout situation so the entire premises is all FetCon. So I am innocently sitting in the lobby resting my feet and I notice there are all these men sitting there who are staring at me but no one is speaking. I did have on open-toed heels and then slowly men start to approach me to pay me to rub my feet. So unbeknownst to me I was sitting in the foot section and I panicked and I am such a rookie I didn't even take a foot massage. And then second at one of the parties at night we were comparing our manicures me and the girlies and I noticed that one of the girls had a couple short nails along with her long nails. So I said oh do you play an instrument? She said yeah I play the I was shocked I had no idea. You know me I love a convention I love to meet people in person and I love to learn more about this industry and I sincerely appreciate everyone that takes the time to share your world with me. If you are considering going to an industry convention I highly recommend it is a safe place to learn all kinds of things that I cannot teach you.
