Structuring your cash deposits is illegal. Splitting up your cash deposits at the bank is illegal and it's called structuring. As you know, if you go to deposit $10,000 or more in cash, you have to fill out a form. So if you're breaking up your money into smaller amounts to avoid filling out that form, that's illegal. It's the intent to evade the reporting, not where the money is coming from. I've talked to tax attorneys on this. You just want to deposit your cash, fill out the form if necessary, and claim it on your taxes. This includes making multiple deposits at different locations of the same bank, and also using multiple banks to spread out the deposits. This is how you get kicked out of bank accounts, activity like this. And we don't want to draw any additional attention to ourselves in this industry, anyways. And again, why it's so important to keep very tight records, so you know where that money came from, what day you earned it, you have a log. Dancing and working in a dungeon is not illegal. Structuring, however, is a federal felony and can lead to hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines and jail time. Deposit your cash, claim it, file your taxes, enjoy your life.
