Only Eating Like a Local IN ITALY I'm here with Nicolas and you're from Verona Hosteria Punto Rosa that's right here near the center it's really good really traditional you could order one dish from there that's for the risotto all'amarone let's go guys went later that night for dinner and ordered exactly what he told me to alongside a few other items so we have to kick things off with what he recommended the risotto all'amarone a traditional dish from Verona consisting of rice bathed in red wine then typically topped with melty cheese unlike anything I've had before but it tastes exactly how it sounds rice with red wine and while I did love the texture of this dish I felt like it could have had a stronger red wine flavor thing about me is if I see steak I'm probably ordering it especially when this was only 20 bucks not only that it came topped with truffle had a side of blue cheese and a jam dressing I've never squeezed orange juice on my steak before might be a regular practice for me going forward that was absolutely delicious especially when paired with the blue cheese while I do respect this traditional dish it's unique and flavorful I definitely preferred the steak but I love that both dishes she's got me out of my comfort zone and I was able to try some things I've never tried before let this be your sign if you go to another country to ask the locals where to eat because they always know best arrivederci
