Feeding our family for $10. We're not using any seasonings. Extracting flavors with technique, not seasonings. We're extracting natural flavor using culinary techniques, and it's gonna be delicious. I'm gonna use a whole grain brown rice as well as a bag of lentils for protein. We spent nine dollars and fifty cents. We got 50 cents off the lentils. I'm trying to incorporate as much protein as possible. If you have seasonings, use them. If you don't have them, don't feel bad. I got you. We're gonna extract as much flavor as possible. Remember, be kind. Let's cook, andiamo. First thing we're gonna do is add a quarter cup of lentils to one cup of water. Bring it to a boil. The lentils are working. Go ahead and open your spring rolls. We're gonna get them in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, or the oven, same thing. Open chicken, remove packs of sauce. It could come with two packs of sauce inside. Take them out. Pan on medium, empty half of sauce in pan, coat pan over medium heat. Empty out half of one pack into the pan. Once it comes to a simmer, remember, cornstarch in the sauce, thickening agent. It's gonna get thick. Go ahead and empty your chicken into the pan. As per directions for the rice, put it in the microwave for 90 seconds. It's been about three and a half minutes. I'm gonna remove the chicken. The sauce gave it a beautiful caramelized color. Put the chicken out of the pan in the very same pan. I'm gonna go ahead and open my broccoli and drop it in. When you drop your broccoli in, because it's frozen or semi-frozen, it will release water. That water will pick up all that flavor from the sauce and the chicken. We're gonna evaporate all that water and then cut the broccoli down. Now that the water evaporated and my broccoli got cut down, go ahead and add the other half of that packet into the pan and saute that broccoli for two minutes. It's been about two minutes and my broccoli smells fantastic. I cut it down because I want the chicken to be the star of the show. Now go ahead and put the chicken right back in the same pan. When mixed, add half the second pack of sauce and saute. The chicken and broccoli mixed well. Take the second half of the sauce in there. We're gonna let that go on a medium low and mix it well, just to turn it to a glaze, really coating everything evenly. Now that my lentils are done, we're gonna take that rice, throw them in the same pot and mix it well. That chicken and broccoli is glazed beautifully and cooked all the way through. Right before I'm ready to plate, take the other half of that sauce, put it in the pan and scrape the bottom of the pan with the sauce. Let it get a little thick, and then we're gonna put that in a bowl. Plated. If you happen to have a little green onion, just optional. Plenty left for more portions or lunch tomorrow. We have left. You save the extra sauce for a dipping sauce. For a little flavor. It's under $10 to make. Hope it helps and your family will love it. I really hope it helps somebody. Until next time.
