If you use Claude, whether paid or unpaid, you need to watch this. Over the weekend, Reddit users found conversations shared from Anthropic's Claude, showing up in public search results. Here's what happened and how you can protect yourself. Hi, I'm Caitlin. I'm a cybersecurity and data protection expert, and I want to help you protect yourself when you use AI. Let's go. BBC reported that over 200 plus chats were across at least 25 pages of results. So Claude chats are actually private by default. Only conversations where someone clicked share got a public URL. So if you've ever hit share on your Claude chats, you need to watch this and do these steps right now. Before we continue, be sure to hit that follow button. So first, I would search Google and go here. And if anything shows up, make sure that you remove it. Second is I would go to your settings. Then privacy, then share chats, then manage, and then press delete old links. Now, this means anyone that you shared those chats with won't have access to those links anymore, but it's probably for the best. Please be sure to share this with anyone that you know uses Claude, which is pretty much everyone. Press that share button down there.
