Sometimes you just have to cut the hair. Welcome back. Today I am here with a new client. We've already done an in-depth consultation and a series of treatments before we blow-dried her hair out and now she is ready for her cut. As you can see, she's sitting with a lot of damage and severe breakage at the back of her head. This is due to a medical issue that she had. And one thing I like to be transparent with my clients about is that when we are dealing with internal health, there's nothing that we can do in the salon to combat it. Of course, we are able to do treatments and do haircuts to put the hair in the best condition as possible. But if you want to actually resolve the issue of the hair breaking, you have to get to the root of what the problem is and figure out how to solve it. It's extremely important to consult with your medical professionals as well so that way you can make sure you're doing what's best for your body and your hair. After showing her photos and videos of the condition of her hair, we consulted again just so we could decide on a cut that was best for her lifestyle and her overall goals. When I do the initial cut, especially when I'm doing it on a silk press, it's super important to cut in a way that not only makes sense now, but will allow for the hair to grow out in a way that benefits the client the most and aligns with their goals. She decided that she wanted to cut her hair blunt to allow for the most even grow out, and I think it came out super cute. I even think when she presses it eventually, that she will have a super cute bob and bouncy. And most importantly, we were able to blend those damaged areas so it looks more intentional and not like her hair was breaking off from the roots. A question I often get after doing such drastic cuts is, how am I supposed to maintain my hair like this once it's so short? Fortunately for my clients, I am the best hairstylist in the world. I offer a variety of styling options that can fit any lifestyle and any preference. She's already been wearing half wigs, so we did a cute braided style in the front and she was able to get a braided down in the back so she could throw on her half wig and go. I also showed her how to safely wear her half wigs so that way the clips are not damaging her hair or pulling her hair out from the roots. So, I'll see you guys in the next video. Bye.
