EVERY TEXTURE CAN BE SILKY

Every texture can be silky when it comes to doing a silk press. Welcome back to the Kai Noir Experience. My name is Destiny and I specialize in natural hair care and length retention. I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone say that their hair can't get silky because their curls are too tight and that's just simply not true. Every day I work with some of the tightest curl patterns and there hasn't been a time where I haven't been able to get someone's hair silky when booking a silk press. The outcome of your silk press has very little to do with your actual curl pattern and more to do with your hair care maintenance routine. If you're someone who wears a lot of high tension styles, whose hair is always in confined styles such as sewing, braids, wig installs, if you never wear your hair out, at least a month before your silk press, make sure you're taking those braids, those sewing or whatever else out, and wearing your hair out, at least a month before your silk press. And wearing low tension hairstyles that will allow your hair to adjust to the climate that you live in. And that's actually another layer to the issue of a silk press not coming out silky. A lot of people blame the climate they live in for the reason their hair is reverting and that's more so to do with the fact that if you're never wearing your hair out, you're not giving your hair time to adjust to the climate that you live in. At your first appointment with me, not only do you receive treatment, a haircut and the styling of your choice, but you also receive a full hair care regimen which will give all the information that you need for your hair to continue to flourish and thrive even when you're not in my chair.
