Welcome to my new series Femininity 101: Hygiene Edition. How to feel feminine 101. So a lovely supporter of mine gave me this idea. I'll put her at in the caption. And I was like, you know what? This is something I could do. I'll do a bunch of different topics, different days, on just lots of things that I've learned, things I've done to really fall into my deep femininity. If your mom didn't teach you, this is everything you need to know about feminine hygiene, rapid fire edition. When you're in the shower, you need to be washing down there with just water and unscented soap. Absolutely nothing with fragrance should be going down there or inside. I feel like a peri bottle is the best way to clean down there after you use the bathroom. And if you are using toilet paper, I recommend using an organic or bamboo toilet paper because the ones that they just sell are so nasty, filled with bleach and chemicals. And we're putting that in that area. If you do your research, that can be the cause to a lot of problems that we didn't even know. Always have baby wipes packed with you. I'm known as the friend that always has baby wipes on her, so if you need them, I got them. 100% cotton panties only. Wear organic cotton pads, tampons, liners. Some of my favorite brands are Cora and Rael. When you go to sleep, that is the time you should be letting yourself breathe down there. I love a good night gown for that reason exactly. And you should not be wearing panties to sleep. Oral hygiene in this order: Mouthwash, water floss, regular floss, brush teeth, and tongue scraper. You need a tongue scraper, which Hazel is my secret little friend. It's amazing for reducing odor, freshening up in any areas you sweat, whether it's under your arm, under your boobs, butt crack, antibacterial soap before your scented soap. I'm not here to debate how often, that's up to you. You need a good double cleanse. While in the shower, throw out that nasty loofah, replace it with the African net sponge. It holds way less bacteria, it exfoliates and you should be using a separate wash cloth for your behind. Please. Once a week at least, you should be taking out all your jewelry, your piercings, cleaning in the piercing hole, cleaning the jewelry, and really getting in there because it holds very gross bacteria. Hypochlorous acid, I swear by this. It kills all the germs and bacteria. Spray after you work out, it's a hot day. If you're traveling, on the plane. You should be washing your pillowcases and sheets at least once a week. And just keep backups so you can easily switch them out. At minimum, you should be using a satin pillowcase. And if you want to go the extra mile, a satin bonnet or just something to cover your hair at night because all that stuff in your hair is just getting oils and bacteria and building up on your pillowcase. If you have crusty, dry feet, a pumice stone in the shower, scrub your heels really good. I love using a glycolic acid balm stick on my heels, putting a good foot cream, fuzzy socks. You should be wearing slippers in the house. So you're not just constantly walking on your feet. If you wear a lot of eye makeup or get styes, Johnson's baby wash and shampoo. If you wash your eyes with that daily, you will be good. I have so many more tips. Comment if you want part two. Let me know what other things you'd like me to talk about for my feminine series.
