There ARE significant environmental concerns with the beef industry, just as there are with AI and data centers. There are also ways to mitigate both, with regenerative agriculture, closed-loop cooling systems, and systems that can use recycled or non-potable water. And there are all sorts of dirty tactics being used by both industries to cut corners and obfuscate the real numbers. This is why it is SO IMPORTANT to be ACCURATE when having these conversations. To give them the NUANCE they deserve, rather than just assuming that whatever data seems to support our preconceived beliefs is correct. As Richard Feynman said, "The first principle is that you must not fool yourself and you are the easiest person to fool."
