Green banana curry from the land of bananas 🍌—in my opinion, one of the best curries in the world! If you’ve never cooked with unripe green bananas, they act just like firm, starchy potatoes, absorbing all the crackling mustard seeds, turmeric, and fresh green chilli heat. How to make it: 1️⃣ Peel green bananas with a knife (they’re tough!), cut in half, and slice into small pieces. 2️⃣ Heat oil in a pot and sauté sliced onion, green chillies, and mustard seeds until the seeds pop. 3️⃣ Add turmeric, salt, and chopped tomato; simmer into a spiced paste. 4️⃣ Toss in the sliced green bananas with a splash of water. 5️⃣ Cover and cook gently for 20 minutes until tender but firm. 6️⃣ Finish with fresh coriander! 7️⃣ To Serve: Enjoy piping hot wrapped inside a warm, flaky Durban roti! ✨ Looking to try traditional regional home cooking?
