Patrick Clancy was able to stick his head in the sand about the true mental health status of his wife because she was still performing acts of motherhood. She was still putting other people before herself. And I think 99% of mothers on the planet would tell you a mom is going to struggle for a long time to get up the courage to ask for help. And if that request for help isn't met with immediate reprieve, she's going to go back to doing all the things that she knows she's responsible for. Acts of mothering. A mother will mother until the second that she dies. And unfortunately, in this situation, she was so poorly supported, she mothered herself out of a window. Had she actually died, this narrative would have been differently. It's so tragic.
