BREAKING: Rockton Police Double Down, Release 11 Body-Worn Camera Videos in Kody Case Rockton, Illinois - The Rockton Police Depart has released11 body-worn camera videos related to the July 27th traffic stop involving Waldemar Gonzalez and an 8-month-old French bulldog named Kody. At approximately 3:30 p.m. Central today, police released the footage while continuing to stand by their handling of the incident, including their statement that the vehicle's air conditioning was operating. Gonzalez disputes that account. We're now reviewing all 11 videos in full and will compare the footage with statements from both Rockton Police and Gonzalez. Our goal is to report what the evidence shows, what questions are answered, and what questions remain. According to the department, the body camera footage is governed by a combination of state law, local policy, and open records exemptions. As a result, portions of the videos may be redacted, contain no audio, or include blurred images to protect the privacy of those involved. We'll share our findings as soon as our review is complete.
