Day 30/30. ❤️ I don’t even know where to begin. Thirty days ago, Oscar tied up his trainers and made a promise to his best friend. He was going to run one mile every single day for Masion. But from the very start, he had one dream… that on Day 30, Masion would be there beside him so they could cross the finish line together. We held onto that hope every single day. But today, Masion was too poorly to leave the hospital. So instead of bringing Masion to the finish line… Oscar took the finish line to him. Today, Oscar ran to the hospital where Masion and his family’s world changed forever. The hospital where he was first told he had cancer. A place no child should ever have to know, yet somehow it became the most meaningful place to finish this journey. Running beside Oscar today were Masion’s sister, 2 brothers and Lacies friend. Every step was for Masion. Every mile has always been for Masion. I have watched my little boy dig deeper than I ever thought possible. He has run through heat, exhaustion, tears, and heartbreak. He has carried emotions that no 10-year-old should ever have to carry, yet he never once asked to stop. Even on the days he felt he couldn’t, he ran anyway. Because he made a promise to Masion. Oscar wanted nothing for himself from any of this. No recognition. No praise. He simply wanted to help the little boy he loves like a brother. 30 miles. 30 days. One incredible little boy. I honestly cannot believe you did it, Oscar. But I never doubted you for a second. You have brought people together, restored faith in humanity, raised an unbelievable amount of money, and reminded us all what true friendship looks like. To every single person who has supported this journey, whether you donated, ran alongside Oscar, shared a post, sent a message, cheered from the sidelines, or simply believed in him, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have reminded us that kindness still exists in this world. Although Masion couldn’t cross that finish line with you today, every single step of this journey has been with him in your heart. And it always will be. For Masion. Yesterday. Today. Always. 💛
