Why it worked

The video addresses a common travel concern (passport validity for EU travel) with a clear, actionable warning and a practical solution (a link to a passport checker). The creator's direct and urgent tone, combined with the potential for a ruined holiday, creates a strong incentive for viewers to check their passports and engage with the content.

Summary

This video explains an important EU passport rule change post-Brexit. It highlights that UK passports issued before Brexit need to be within 10 years of the travel date, not just have a valid expiry date, to avoid being denied boarding. The creator offers a link to a passport checker in their bio for viewers to verify their passport's validity.

Structure

1Introduction to the EU passport rule change post-Brexit.
2Explanation of the old rule (rollover dates) vs. the new rule (10-year issue date).
