Look at this website. It was built without a design skill. Now look at this one, same AI but completely different results. The skill is basically an upgrade you give to charge GT or cloud. Instead of expecting AI to magically know how a designer, a marketer or an artist thinks. You can give it the skill that has been trained for that specific job. So, if you're designing a website, use a design skill. If you're writing code, use a coding skill. The results are usually much better because AI already knows the approach for that specific task. I personally use the design skills for building websites and the results I've been mind blowing. To install a skill, all you have to do is go to this website, copy the link of this skill, then paste it inside of to your clipboard and just tell the AI to simply install. It's going to install that skill. And next time you want to build something, maybe website or whatever you want to do, you want to use the skill and you can activate it by using the forward slash and then searching for the skill and writing your prompt and AI is automatically going to build your website or design anything based off of that skill you reference.
