I'm going to expose every single cent my boyfriend and I spent this month as a dual income no kids household in Perth WA. And if you're nosy like me, you're gonna love this. We're starting off very lightly with our bills this category. This includes our mortgage, transport, utilities, phone bill, the wifi. The total for this category came to $2,599.81. My personal favorite is food, but the numbers were very confronting. We spent $1,075 on groceries. $440 on eating out. GYG on a Friday night is a non-negotiable in our household. So we spent $138 on takeaway. Total spend on food was $1,632.42. Health was extremely high this month at $869. And it's only going to get worse because I'm having surgery this week. This $869 was for our private health insurance, some supplements from Warehouse, and $350 specialist appointment. I spent $220 dollars on our cleaner. This should have been $440, but our cleaner was the week we had to skip a fortnight. We keep our subscriptions extremely low. If we do not use it, we do not pay for it. So we only spent $32.98 cents, which I'm very proud of. Fitness was $316. I'm absolutely not mad about that. I'll happily spend that any month. That was for our gym memberships and also pre-workout from Suppmart because we are caffeine dependent around here. And $143 on getting my nails, toes, eyebrows done randomly. Spent $26 on parking this month, which is definitely not a usual expense for us. Our darling Angel Cocker Spaniel costs $156 for her monthly groom and also for some dog food. We don't own a lawn mower, so we pay someone to cut our grass for us, and that costs $50 every three weeks. My favorite spending category of all, I invested $2,000 into my stock portfolio and also put an extra $300 into my superannuation. That brings our grand total to $8,436, which when you crunch the numbers like that, it seems like a freaking lot. But in saying that, every single dollar that leaves our bank account is in alignment with our values, and that's the main thing.
