thousand seventy eighty six budget My paycheck just hit my bank account, so let's budget it together. My bills are always accounted for first, so I transferred $1,250 into my shared account that I have with my partner. Within our shared account, though, we do have some joint savings goals. For example, we're currently saving to have a baby in the next few years. My partner and I mostly share finances, but we do it on an equitable basis, so he actually transfers more than me. If you're nosy like me and you want to know exactly how we allocate that money, let me know in the comments. I pay an additional $100 into my superannuation account every fortnight, so that gets paid. I could do this pre-tax, but I don't really care too much and I just claim it back at tax time. This is really embarrassing to admit, but before I was financially savvy, I actually took money out of my super during COVID, so I'm just replenishing that. I've definitely already repaid back what I took out, but for me, it just feels good to have that extra money going in every fortnight. The rest of my money gets split up into my sinking funds. I transferred $46 into my Rego account. My Rego is almost due and I almost have enough just to pay the 12 months upfront, which feels really nice. $50 goes into clothes, but honestly, I haven't bought clothes in a really long time, so that's been building up really nicely. $70 goes into beauty, and that's for things like haircuts, my eyebrows, and my nails. $25 is transferred into my health sinking fund, but this definitely hasn't been sufficient enough in the last few weeks because I've just had surgery, which cost around $5,000 out of pocket. I used to pay myself $200 of fun money every fortnight, but now I've literally transferred 50 because I've got a lot of money in it and I haven't been spending it. At a minimum, I always transfer $500 into my investment account so I can hit at least $1,000 invested. I transferred $250 into travel fund. Traveling is a really big priority for myself and my partner at the moment, especially in the last couple of years before we have kids. I think I've travelled to something like 15 or 17 countries by now. Hopefully, we'll be going to Bali in a couple months and then definitely a big Euro summer trip next year. $250 was transferred into my emergency fund because it has been completely depleted. The remaining $50 or so sits in my transaction account, just a little buffer. And that's every dollar accounted for. I would love to know your thoughts and if you have any questions on how I budget or allocate my money, please comment because I love talking about money, it's literally a special interest of mine and I could make a million videos on it.
