I went into The Works with the intention of buying two books and I came out with 13 because the selection at the moment is the best I have ever seen it so obviously I had to treat myself! So let's show you what I've got. Starting off with what I went into buy. These are "Us" and "Us: A Dark Few" by Alexis Patton with the works exclusive sprayed edges. This is a dystopian romance between a prisoner and a guard and I've heard nothing but good things about these books and I'm obsessed with the covers and the edges, so new I needed to add them to my collection. Next up, we have "Daybreak" by Autumn Woods with the works exclusive sprayed edge. Now I told myself I was not going to buy this book because I'm not the biggest fan of this duology, but when I saw these edges and it was the last one in the store that it just felt like it was meant to be and I have "Nightshade" with the matching sprayed edge so they belong together and I had to pick this one up. I then picked up the "LoveLight Farms" box set by B.K. Boris because it was on offer for £10 which felt like an absolute bargain. I've read the first two books in the series but for some reason I've never picked up the other two so it's time. I think these will be perfect autumnal reads. Now this is where it went downhill. And that is because the 3 for £7.50 deal at the moment has some incredible books. Usually I only see one or two that I'm interested in. This time I have six. The first book in the 3 for £7.50 deal that caught my eye was "The Night We Met" by Abby Jimenez, which is my favorite Abby Jimenez book. I needed a trophy copy. This is her angsty book, the trope is best friends, girlfriend and I am just obsessed with the drama in this book. I really loved it. I then picked up "Egotistical Puckboy" by Eden Finley & Saxon James which says "hot enemies to lovers MM romance and fans of hated rivalry" and I am fans of hated rivalry so I know I'm going to love this. And then finally, a book from another author I've never read before, Kathere Center. This is "The Love Haters". I don't know what this book is about actually, but the cover caught my eye and it looks like it would be the perfect book to take on holiday with me and I've heard really good things about Kathere Center's writing so I'm looking forward to reading this. And then finally, a book from another author I've never read before. This is "Here Comes Summer" by Georgie Kain and the cover caught my eye and it sounds really good. It's a spicy fake dating, second chance MM romance which sounds right up my street. I actually really can't wait to read this. And then I picked up "Catching Feelings" by Alicia Thompson. This is a baseball romance and from the blurb on the back it sounds like it's going to be filled with banter so you know I'm going to love it. And then we have "The Ex-Files" by Jessica Joyce. A book that I've heard so many good things about but I've actually never read. And when the tagline is written by an author you know is going to be good, I know it's going to be good. And then finally, a book from another author I've never read before. This is "The Love Haters" by Kathere Center. I don't know what this book is about actually, but the cover looked like it would be the perfect book to take on holiday with me and I've heard really good things about Kathere Center's writing so I'm looking forward to reading this. So those are all the books I picked up on my most recent trip to The Works and if this isn't your sign to visit The Works and do a little bit of damage, then I don't know what it is.
