This is how you write a sequel, Prince of Swords by Elise Kova, the sequel to Arcana Academy, my most anticipated read of the year and it was everything I wanted it to be and more. It is very rare for me to enjoy a second book in a series more than the first one, but this book completely blew me away. If you haven’t already read Arcana Academy, then you need to because like I said, this book is even better. Arcana Academy is the most incredibly written, dark academia fantasy romance with deadly trials, a fake engagement, morally gray main characters and the most incredibly written magic system I have ever read. Prince of Swords picks up immediately following the events of Arcana Academy and we're thrown straight back into the action. The story is fast-paced and I struggled to put it down. If you haven’t already picked up Arcana Academy and Prince of Swords, then I envy you because I would do anything to read this story for the first time again.
