PRICE BREAKDOWN our 6 day trip to Turks & Caicos

My husband and I just got back from a trip to Turks & Caicos. This was the second year in a row that we have gone and I shared a couple videos from the trip and got tons of comments and DMs for a price breakdown of our trip. I have people say they want to plan their honeymoon there like we did or just vacation there. Not that I feel like I have to do this, but I do want to preface and just give a disclaimer that Turks is not the cheapest place in the world to vacation. It is an island, things are more expensive. Obviously, the biggest expense was where we stayed. We stayed six nights, six days at the Blue Haven Resort. It is an all-inclusive resort. There's not a ton of all-inclusive resorts in Turks, but Blue Haven is one. And you also get access to their sister resort, The Alexandra on Grace Bay Beach, unlimited access. You can go there anytime you want. Or our stay was $6,950, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, tons of drinks every single day. We did book it on Travel Tuesday last year, which if you didn't know, it is the Black Friday of the travel industry. I've made so many videos talking about it. I don't remember exactly how much we saved by booking on Travel Tuesday, I couldn't see it like in our receipt, but I know it was over $1,000. Pretty sure it was like by five nights get your sixth night free. The second most expensive thing were the flights. Flights: $1,182 for the two of us. Now, we had a lot of flights. There's no direct flight from Denver to Turks yet. Starting in December, there will be a direct flight. I'm so excited because I'm hoping it'll mean that it'll be cheaper to fly down there. We did do two excursions. If you go to Turks, you have to do an excursion. It is the only way that you can like see parts of the island is by getting there by boat or jet ski. We did a four-hour snorkel boat tour. It was $238 for two people. We booked on Viator. And then we did a two-hour jet ski tour, which was $300 for one jet ski for the two of us. It was expensive, but we ended up being the only ones in our tour group. So it was just us and the tour guide and he took us places that like we have never seen. The only other expense that we had for the trip was taxis & tips: $500 cash. I will say this, if you are not going to stay on an all-inclusive resort, get a rental car. Locals will tell you that, people who have traveled there will tell you that. Get a rental car because taxi drivers are expensive. It's at least $40 every single taxi ride, no matter where you're going. In total, our entire stay was $9,170. Obviously, not the cheapest trip in the world, but it is just something that my husband and I put money aside for because we know that like we want to be able to vacation and see places like this while we don't have kids. So as long as you're comfortable doing that, get a rental car.
