‘Wing It’ is a small study I made for a far larger artwork that I’m working on behind the scenes. Although drawing planes was my favourite pastime as a kid, this was the first airplane I ever painted on a textured surface like this small, grey canvas. I work on small studies to understand the process of a new type of figure. It gets me ready to work on larger projects where there is no room for failure. This artwork is part of my ‘High’ collection which will be exhibited from 1-4 October in Berlin and will be for sale on my public release after the show.
