‘Come Up for Air’ Majestic in size, colourful by design and calm in nature, hot air balloons fascinate me each time I see them drift peacefully over open landscapes. Sunrises tend to be the best times to take flight which is why this artwork features a gradient of pastel colours spread in gentle curves to emphasise the calming effect these big beauties have on me. As you can see this artwork is life size. It was a project that took far longer than expected (spanning over 5 months of creation) but worth every minute. I won’t sell this artwork but there will be printed canvas editions available limited to 21 copies once my ‘High’ exhibition in Berlin ends.
