If you’re looking for an unforgettable day trip from Bangkok, Ancient City (Muang Boran) should be at the top of your list. Getting there is incredibly easy. Take the BTS to Kheha Station, then hop on a 20 baht songthaew that drops you right at the entrance. My biggest recommendation? Rent the golf cart. I had no idea how huge this place was, and it made exploring so much more fun while keeping us out of the sun. Bonus tip: If you have a Thai work permit, you’re eligible for a discounted entrance ticket, so don’t forget to bring it with you! What surprised me most is that this isn’t just a place to visit for a couple of hours. You can easily spend 10 to 12 hours here. There are restaurants, cafés, souvenir shops, a BBQ buffet, and they even have a hotel inside the park, so everything is set up for an incredible full day adventure.
