1. spire rooftop probably my favorite overall right now. amazing view over lumphini park and the skyline. go around 5:30pm so you get sunset and the city lights. 2. octave one of the best classic rooftop experiences in bangkok. 360° views, right next to thong lor BTS and a really good atmosphere. weekdays are much better if you want fewer crowds. 3. above eleven go here if you actually want good food too. japanese-peruvian menu, good cocktails and a fun atmosphere. wednesday nights are especially lively. 4. bar.yard one of the better options if you don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount. they have happy hour from 5-7pm, which is perfect timing for sunset. 5. yào rooftop more relaxed and usually less chaotic than the viral rooftops. great option for a date or if you actually want to sit, talk and enjoy the view. 6. seen one of my favorites for river views. completely different from the skyscraper rooftops and really nice around sunset. 7. sky beach probably the best pure VIEW in bangkok. it’s on top of mahanakhon, so you’re basically standing above the whole city. expensive, but worth doing once. 8. tichuca I’d go once. the giant tree looks amazing and it’s great for photos, but it gets VERY busy. go around 5-6pm before the late-night crowd arrives. 9. the best time to go around 5:15-5:45pm. you get daylight, sunset, blue hour and the night skyline without having to sit there all night. tuesday to thursday is usually my favorite. friday and saturday are better if you actually want the party. 10. don’t automatically choose the most famous rooftop some of bangkok’s most famous spots are also the most expensive and crowded. sometimes you’re paying for the name more than the experience. save this for your next night in bangkok. which rooftop should I try next? #bangkok #bangkokthailand #thailandtravel #bangkoknightlife #bangkokrooftop
