Not everyone who calls you friend is on your side. Some people only keep you around because of what you can do for them. Here are five warning signs you should never ignore. Have you ever wondered why some people suddenly disappear after you help them? Or why they only remember you when they need something? The truth is, not everyone who smiles at you cares about you. Some people love what you can give them, but they don't truly value you. The first sign they need sign, they only call when might be money, a favor, advice, your time, your connections. They know exactly where they need help. But when you need someone to stand with you, they are nowhere to be found. Ask yourself this: If you stopped giving today, would they still be around tomorrow? The second sign, they don't celebrate your success. When something good happens, they don't seem happy. They become quiet. They change the topic. Sometimes they even try to make your success look small. A real friend is happy when you win. The wrong person feels threatened when you grow. The third sign, they expect you to carry their problems, but they never carry yours. You listen to them, you encourage them, you pray for them, you make time for them. But when your heart is heavy, when you need someone to talk to, they are suddenly too busy. That is not friendship. That is a one-sided relationship. The fourth sign, everything is always about them. Their problems, their feelings, their needs, their emergencies. You spend so much that you forget to ask yourself one simple question: Who is helping me? A healthy friendship should never leave only one person exhausted. The fifth sign, they only appreciate you when you say yes. Keep giving. They smile as long as you keep sacrificing. They praise you, but the moment you say, "I can't," the moment you set a healthy boundary, their attitude changes. That tells you something. Maybe they never loved you. Maybe they only loved what they could get from you. Now, I wanna ask you something. Have you ever had someone like this in your life? If you have, write, "I've learned my lesson" in the comments. And if you're thankful for the genuine people God has placed in your life, write "Thank you God." I'd love to read your story. Now, listen carefully. Being kind, but being kind does not mean allowing people to use you. God wants you to love people. He also wants you to walk in wisdom. Some people will leave the moment you stop being useful to them. Don't chase them. Let them go. The people God sends into your life will love you for who you are, not for what they can get from you. The Bible says in Proverbs 4:23, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Guard your heart. Protect your peace. Choose people who celebrate your growth. Choose people who stay even when you have nothing to offer. And remember that the people who get angry because you set healthy boundaries are often the people who benefited from you having none. Stop chasing people who only value fullness. The right people will value your heart, your character, and your presence. May God remove every fake relationship from your life. May He surround you with people who truly love you, respect you, and stand with you through every season. May He give you the wisdom to recognize the right people and the courage to walk away from the wrong ones. In Jesus name, amen. Amen.
