NOT EVERYONE WHO

Some people don’t love you… they love what they get from your love. 💔 Not everyone who says they love you is serious about you. Some people keep you close because of what your love does for them. They know you want a future with them. They know you believe their promises. They know you're giving them your time. Waiting because your attention, loyalty and love are convenient for them. And the most painful part is this: they may already know they will never choose you, but they don't want to lose the benefits of having you. They want your attention when they're lonely, your loyalty when they need support, your presence when they feel empty. But when you ask them where the relationship is going, suddenly they don't know. Listen carefully. Don't waste someone's years because you haven't decided what you want. If you don't love them, be honest. If you don't see a future with them, say it. Yes, the truth may hurt their heart, but deception can steal their time. And you can break a heart and eventually walk away. But you can never return the years someone spent believing in you. Some people smile beside you while quietly suffering inside. They are making plans around words you never meant. They are turning down opportunities because they believe you're serious. They are praying for a future with you while you're secretly preparing a future without them. Don't do that to someone. People are not options you keep until something better comes along. Their love is not something you should use for comfort. And their heart is not a place you visit whenever you're lonely. The Bible says in Galatians 6:7, "A man reaps what he sows." You may hide your intentions from people. You may convince them that everything is fine. But God sees the truth behind your actions. So be careful what you plant in someone's heart. Don't plant false hope. Don't promise what you don't intend to give. If you cannot give someone the future they are hoping for, have enough courage to give them the truth. Let them go, let them heal, let them choose a future where they can be genuinely loved. You something.
