I'll never buy the Chanel 25 because it's not timeless is something I did say on here. But...here we are 🫢 So let's unbox her! How freaking cute. I'm obsessed. This is my Chanel 25 small in the light grey color. I know the first thing you guys wanna know is what made me finally pull trigger. It's because I actually got such a good deal on this bag. One of you reached out asking if I wanted to buy it. She actually sold it to me for $4900 Which is insane. It's like 30% off of what it is retail now. This bag is now $6700 + SF tax. So it's like $7300 And for a trendy and fun bag like this that I know won't hold its value, it's so hard for me to invest that. For $7k I can get an Hermes bag or spend a little bit more and get an Hermes Birkin or Kelly that's forever a classic and actually doubles in value. So with all of that, it's made it really hard for me to invest in Chanel firsthand. A lot of you also asked me what colors I was debating. I'm a total neutrals girlie. I'm also such a classics girlie. Obviously I was considering the black, but I already have two classic flaps in black. Recently when I went in store the burgundy really caught my eye and also the denim which I never expected to like, but that's when I knew I was fully drinking the Chanel 25 Kool Aid. Really when it came down to it, the grey suede was really what I was debating. Just saw it at The RealReal and I thought it was so beautiful. But my purpose for this bag is just like an everyday bag that I can use, not stress about. As much as I like the suede, I feel like the fabric is just too high maintenance for me. Back to my point about this being like an everyday kind of mommy bag. That's also why I opted for the small over the mini. I'm also quite tall, I'm 5'9, so I felt like the small really fit my frame. Do I think this is a trendy bag? Absolutely. It's literally all the rage. Everybody wants this bag right now. I feel like in a few years this bag might be like the Gabrielle or like the boy bag. And so why not just buy resale? Save a couple thousand. Also you're minimising your losses later on. And yeah, that's why I didn't wanna pay full price for it. I'd highly recommend checking out The RealReal or Fashionphile They have so many of these in different colors and fabrics. Yeah, that's the story on this bag. Let me know what you guys think and let me know if you have any other questions.
