Do you want to giggle and kick your feet but also get lost in a very fun, unique gothic world and also not cringe because of the FMC and not cringe because of the MMC? Then you should read Weavingshaw by Heba Al-Wasity. I've been on a mission to find fun, addictive, and unique gothic world-done romantasy because I kind of took a long break from the subgenre. Just, it wasn't hitting for me. And I was reading a lot of high fantasy and epic fantasy. And I just had to come back to it because ultimately, it can be so much fun and romance. I do love a good romance. So this is the first romantasy that I've read since earlier this year and I kind of feel like I already hit the nail on the head. I'm not done, I'm like 70% but this book has just been so much fun and reminded me why if I do really love a romantasy book, why that genre can just be a blast. Not to mention that this is a perfect fall read. I also have kind of been forcing fall summer and giving all the vibes, ghosts, crumbling estates, curses, demons. It's just really delivering. Nothing about it has been cringe, you know? There's very thought out. There's no anachronistic language or technology in there. That went research into this. The FMC is smart, she's empathetic, she's interesting, she's not annoying. And the MMC, he is so good. He's not the typical elements, follow, that we see. He's brooding, mysterious, morally grey. It has those elements, but this is not in like overdone way where it's almost become like a caricature of the trope, in my opinion. He's just really page, what he's going to say. He comes across as mature, generally interesting. And the FMC, which is, is lacking. I understand other, really tension between them, and that's what's, you know, making me kind of giggle and kick my feet a little. The only point that I will mention and I've seen critiques is that it's a bit slower paced. I will say, yeah, the first 30% it's more character driven and world building rather than action or plot. Is with action in the traditional sense. But I never found it boring or dragging on. I'm almost done. I'm going to finish this tonight. And I'm really excited to finish it. But I wanted to come on here and talk about it. And I would also say kind of gives me Rachel, so Gellig vibes. So if you're a fan of Rachel Gellig and her work, then I think you would absolutely love Weavingshaw. And in general, if you're kind of looking for a romantasy to bring you back into the genre or you want a fun fall read, then this will be perfect for you.
