Today is a big day because we're going to try to get this Japanese imported RX7 with the stock rotary to pass Colorado emissions, which is the hardest emissions to pass in the entire country. The reason why this is such a big deal is naturally the rotary burns oil. This thing was made for Japanese standard emissions, not the US. I highly doubt it's gonna pass, but I'm gonna do everything in my power to try to get it to register. So we can register it. There's a couple things we have to do before we even try. I'll see you in the garage. The first thing we got to do is take off these side skirts because it sits too low to fit on any dyno. Removal is actually extremely straightforward. The previous owner rivnut inserted these on, so I just got to get a Phillips head screwdriver and remove a few screws and they pop right off. And there is one more thing I have to do. I have a sensor that's just not plugged into anything. And if the emissions place sees this, they'll flag the car. So we're going to hide this and make it look like it's plugged in. So I've pretty much just shoved that sensor inside of the catalytic heat shielding. It's not the most sophisticated thing, but it'll probably outsmart the emissions checker. Now that's all done, we're ready to get this thing inspected. My appointment is tomorrow, so stay tuned for the results. This smog
