Why autistic people get punished for not following workplace hierarchy

I got fired from a job after 2 days for literally just being correct. At the time, I couldn't understand it because I thought, a company wants a competent employee who can make their business successful. But the real reason that I got fired was because I wasn't actively performing respect for the social hierarchy above me. When I work with people, I see everyone as a flat team. Your title, your salary don't matter to me because the ultimate success of the business is all I really care about. So I talk to everyone like a teammate. But neurotypicals can find this, like peer to peer directness, really disrespectful. For many of them, a massive portion of their ego and their self worth are tied directly to their job title. It's the reason they work so hard socially to achieve them. When you speak to a boss without signalling to them that you know that they're the boss, they can often get very angry and see you as insubordinate. They process your lack of hierarchy signalling as a deliberate, personal attack. And it can be incredibly exhausting when you're autistic because you're just trying to do a good job and not play like an invisible game. Especially because autistic people are generally like monotropic thinkers, so having to manage the cognitive load of both doing your job properly and playing the hierarchy game at once can be very, very draining. But, what I found is that it's probably more beneficial to do your job poorly and play the invisible hierarchy game if you wanna keep your job. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but yeah.
