THINGS I'VE LEARNED MARRYING INTO A LAKE FAMILY!

Things I've learned marrying into a lake family! In no particular order. You can pretty much forget about being at your actual house on the weekends in the summer. No matter how hard you will always have, you will always have so much leftover food at the end of the weekend. Speaking of food, there will also be like 10 variations of cold salad for dinner. We also jokingly call it sugar salad. You also better like because apparently not liking them is kind of a red flag. Eating and stuffing as many people is the point of having a lake. The weather at the lake is never as bad as the weather at home. Like 70% chance of rain means literally nothing. I'm from a small town in the Midwest so I knew this, but cold cuts and white bread are the only thing you can eat for like lunch anyways. Be back Sunday when we unpack all of the stuff just to pack it back up again next.
