I self funded and self booked an eight city North American tour as an independent musician. Let's check ticket sales one more time before I leave for tour tomorrow and see if I'm financially screwed or if everything's going to be okay. You all have been so supportive, so here's one last update before I hit the road tomorrow. Quick disclaimer, I don't do this for money. I do it because I love it. I'm so thankful for every single person who is coming to a show. This series is just to be more transparent and share a little bit of behind the scenes with all of you. So let's get to it because I have a lot to pack before getting on the road tomorrow. First up, we have Salt Lake City. Last week in Salt Lake City, we were at 33 tickets sold. This week, we are at 37 tickets sold. That's almost 40 people. That is a lot of people to have in one room. My grandma and all of her friends are gonna be there and I am really excited for that one. Next up, we have Seattle. Seattle's been giving me a little bit of trouble. Last week, we were at 19 tickets sold. This week, we're at 22 tickets sold. So we're bumping up in the right direction. That one's a relatively small venue. I've played it before, they're the nicest people ever. Next up, we have Portland. Last week, Portland was at 19 tickets sold. This week, Portland is at 19 tickets sold. Some cities are hard. They just don't budge. Portland is still gonna be great because it's in a 40 seat theatre, so it's really, really small. So no matter what, it'll be a super cool, intimate show. Next up, we have Denver. This is my current hometown. Last week, we had 24 tickets sold. This week, we have 26 tickets sold. I'm a little bit nervous about this one cause it's a slightly larger venue, but I really think more tickets are gonna roll in over the next couple of weeks and I'm not feeling too worried about it. Next up on the East Coast, we have Toronto. This is my first ever show in Canada. Canadians are kind of showing up. So last week, there were 27 tickets sold in this week. There are 29 tickets sold. We're about to ooch over that 30 ticket threshold, which feels really good. I think this will be a great show. Next up, we have Chicago. Now, I've mentioned before, big cities like Chicago are very hard because there's so many things going on. It's hard to get people out to shows. Last week, in Chicago, we had 22 tickets sold. This week, we have 28 tickets sold. That's a pretty big jump. This has been the venue I'm the most worried about. It's the largest by far and also pretty expensive, but we're over the 20 ticket threshold that the show was gonna get cancelled at. So we are good to go. I feel much better about that one. Speaking of big cities, next up is New York City. Last week, in New York City, we had 28 tickets sold. This week, we have 32 tickets sold. I also feel really good about that. It's gonna be in a really interesting venue. It's in a gym and the gym owner like pushes the equipment to the side and sets up a stage cause he really likes hosting music shows. Finally, we have Austin. Last week, Austin was at 23 tickets sold. This week, it's at 27 tickets sold. So it's moving up there. This was the most expensive venue, but I'm confident over the next month those sales are slowly going to ooch up. So there you have it. There is the reality of being an independent, self funded touring musician. Once again, I do this because I love it. This is my favorite thing in the world and I'm gonna keep doing it. Whether I'm making money or losing it, it doesn't matter to me. So thank you to everyone who's bought a ticket.
