New Hobonichi update for 2027 and these are my thoughts! By Akiko Miyakoshi ⭐️ If you're an artist and you know anything about pencil illustrations, it is a painstaking process. It is so time-consuming, but the results are incredibly gorgeous! ⭐ The reason why I had the Kyohei Sakaguchi collaboration from the year before was because of the painted artworks. I gravitate to a lot of these traditional media designs when it comes to Hobonichi covers. ⭐ And it's funny because I'm seeing a lot of discourse online about what journal system to use, what covers they're gonna get, and every single update that I see from Hobonichi convinces you to come back to the ecosystem ⭐ But I think what's really special is that this artist wasn't commissioned to just make art. This was an homage to her view and vision as an artist. Sometimes when you're purchasing these covers, I feel like a part of it is you're taking home some semblance of that artist into your workstation or journal system. For me, this is very special! ☝️ Let me know what you think. I've been keeping up to date with the Hoponichi updates. I haven't made a video on the Moomin update yet. That will be for another video, but I want to hear your thoughts. this is the cutest Hobonichi collab update AKIKO MIYAKOSHI HOBONICHI PREVIEW 2027 new hobonichi preview update just dropped and this is such a beautiful collection. this is probably what i'm gonna spend my money on so all of this is artworks by this lovely lady down here akiko miyakoshi and she is a children's illustrator a lot of motifs around her children growing up and bunnies look at that - i have some thoughts mainly incredibly amazed but i wanna talk to you about i guess the artistic direction as well as why i think i'll be getting the weeks in this cover i still haven't seen the other previews but this one is taking the crown right now A Hobonichi Techo for travel and everyday life, created with Akiko Miyakoshi. Capturing the unforgettable moments. UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS LIFE BOOK HOBONICHI TECHO 2027 if you're new to journals and stationery this time of the year is like the big armageddon in stationery and hobonichi is a powerhouse when it comes to collaborative designs the overarching theme this year was all about moments and memories so miyakoshi came out with this beautiful nostalgic series of illustrations as covers with bunnies as a motif and i think it's i i think it's beautiful this weeks is insane to me look at the sun rays going through the trees the bubbles um and i think she references her daughter's growing up like during the spring and summertime and this i i there's just something about her pencil work it's absolutely incredible the night time themed cousin cover is so fun it's kind of like you know Cousin Cover An Airport at Night when you're on a long drive and you kind of see the neon signs or you're waiting at the the train station. this is kind of what that's a nod to the pencil boards this year. Hobonichi Pencil Board Sunny Day (for A6 Size) this looks entirely out of pencil. sunny day. wow. that's that's so beautiful. Hobonichi Pencil Board In the Air (for A5 Size) look at that, i can't get over this like airport shot. there's something so nostalgic about this particular scene and the way that the blues and the purples are used here is so lovely. Hobonichi Pencil Board Lazy Morning (for Weeks) but i need this rabbit. i need this lazy morning rabbit with that rabbit weeks cover. i think i'm probably sold. like i pack up the other previous. i don't need i don't need to look at it anymore. let me know what you think cause i was very impressed by this update.
