this is how much yeah, how much clothes should you bring for college? yeah, don't over pack. I'm my name is Abby, I'm an aspiring sophomore at Penn State Berks, and I did this all wrong. okay, let's start from the bottom up. socks. how many socks should you bring? as many socks you're gonna lose. yeah, you're gonna lose them in the laundry. yeah, you are. and then you're gonna go to your friend's house and they're gonna take them. so so short socks, long socks, fuzzy socks, bring it all. you're gonna need some socks. this also goes for underwear. bring a ton of underwear. pants. so you're gonna need at least two pairs of jeans. one pair for going out, one cute pair for class. sweatpants. yeah, you're gonna want a ton of those. a lot of college is over the winter, and especially if you're on the East Coast, you're gonna be cold. yeah, you are. and those dorms, they can get freezing. so you're gonna want at least five pairs of sweatpants. one for every day. and, leggings. and ladies, bring at least three pairs of leggings. yeah, at least three pairs. because you're gonna mix and match them with sweatpants. yes, you are. at least one black pair or like one neutral pair and then get like a couple fun pairs because you're gonna mix and match them next. hoodies. okay, for every pair of sweatpants you have, you're gonna want a hoodie. and switch out your hoodies 'cause you're gonna be wearing them all the time and you're gonna need to wash them every time you do wash. every time you do wash. shirts. what shirts are we thinking? okay, so t-shirts. you're gonna need at least five. one for every day of class and those are mostly gonna go under your hoodies. so they don't necessarily have to be cute. and you're also gonna sleep in them a lot, especially if you feel good. tank tops, crop tops, etc. it doesn't matter if it's 90 degrees or it's negative 90 degrees. you are going to be outside in a cute tank top because your friends are going out and it's December. yeah. and you wanna look cute, so you're gonna do that. I promise you will. I don't care if you say you don't right now, you will. you're gonna want at least five of them on rotation because you're gonna buying more at the out thrifting guys. you are. shorts and spandex - 2 shorts - 2 spandex I suggest at least two pairs of shorts and at least two pairs of spandex because if you're a gym girl, you already know you're gonna want that. and if your dorm gets like 150 degrees randomly because they're not well regulated, you are gonna wanna put on a pair of shorts and you're gonna have some because I told you to pack it. jackets - 1 heavy - 1 light okay, heavy jackets. I don't wear jackets. I just don't. I'd rather like look cute and not ruin it with a jacket. but I'd at least suggest having one heavy winter coat and maybe one lightweight coat. but you really, you only need two jackets. that's long sleeves - 5 don't over pack. you guys are gonna want long sleeves. I also suggest layering your long sleeves underneath your t-shirts. it looks cute and it's trendy, but it also keeps you warm. please remember, school happens between August and May. that is majority cold months, especially if you're on the East Coast. you're freezing, okay? you're freezing. I had somebody ask me what pajamas to bring. I just sleep in whatever's comfortable. 6, 7. um, I just sleep when I was comfortable. so t-shirts with shorts. that's what I sleep in. okay, ladies, pack your favorite bra and then pack at least two more bras. make sure one is a push up for going out. and then get two sports bras. the sports bras are for when you wanna feel comfy. okay, the reason I wasn't telling you like, oh, you need 15 shorts, you need 15 shirts and all this is because you will go thrifting. you will go shopping. I was going out at least three or four times a month just thrifting clothes, and I doubled my closet by the end of the year. so I'm trying to help you by telling you not to bring as much and the less you have, the less laundry you have to do. but more frequently you have to do it, but the less laundry you have to do. and also, hot tip: do not wash your jeans or your hoodies after every single time you wear them. hoodies, jeans and sweatpants can get at least three uses out of them before you need to wash them. do not do laundry every single. a lot of colleges charge you for laundry. that will get expensive. I hope I covered everything, but you know, comments and DMs are always open. and if you make this far, follow me. wish you best of luck. bye!
