this is what you're gonna do your first weekend of college. no bs. okay. if you don't know me, my name is Abby. I go to Penn State Berks and I'm uprising and I'm gonna teach you how to survive college. yes, I am. okay, so you got all your college stuff and you moved into your dorm now you're bored. okay, what are we doing? okay, so it's probably Friday or Saturday. you don't even have class until Monday. so what are we doing? what are we doing guys? make friends immediately off bat off it. make friends right now. it's almost a necessity. like, treat it like your job. you need friends. talk to your roommate. hey, wanna go explore campus? they don't have another option but to say yes because they probably don't know what they're doing either. okay, boom. you just made a friend. now you're walking around with your roommate. where are you going? you're gonna walk around campus and figure out where the hell your classes are. yeah. is whether you go to a huge campus like I did. I didn't know where I was going because I didn't do this. so you're walking around campus trying to figure out where guess who else is doing that? everyone else. so you're bound to walking to people who are gonna be your classmates. make friends with them. cause when that study guide is due at 11:59, who are you gonna text? them. duh. it ain't hard. so now you're walking around the roommate and all these people you just met. it's getting late. you know where your classes are. you know what you're doing. now what? dorm tour. dorm tours are how I met all my friends. me and my roommate were trying to figure out what we were doing and we hear this. and a flood of people come in our dorm. dorm. this place is so lit. they walk through our jack and jill style bathroom and they go and they go to my other roommate's dorm. this place is so lit. do you guys wanna walk around with us now and check other people's dorms? duh. what else are we gonna do? and those are the people I ended for the entirety of the year. and if you don't get the take the group of people you just met and go, hey, do you guys wanna explore, like, our college town? yeah, you do. or get in somebody's car that you just met that day and drive around your town. you're gonna go shopping and you're gonna spend a lot of money, and you're gonna get food with a bigger group of people and it's gonna be so much fun. but my biggest advice for college because I don't gatekeep is that everyone is that everyone in college is thinking the exact same thing that first weekend. you don't know anybody. y'all are all strangers, and y'all wanna have a good time. so go out there and be yourself and make new friends. make new friends. biggest advice. when clubs start coming around, sign up for clubs. they sound dumb. they're not as I will say right now. I was in clubs in high school and they're nothing like the ones the college ones are fun because their student ran and they're also college students. so they're fun people. go sign up for clubs. don't be a loser. and yes, a big part of college is partying, but that is not the only thing. my advice for partying is find out the people who throw parties and get in with them. and that way you'll have a place to go on the weekend. that's my. that's my only bop on partying and be safe and responsible. I'm not gonna tell you not to do. just be safe and responsible. okay? and sip don't chug. put yourself out there, go make friends, be yourself, you're gonna. you're gonna have a great time.
