One thing that I wish more people knew about credit cards is that your credit limit is not your money. I do not use my credit card to buy things that I can't afford and if I don't have the money for it, I am not putting it on a credit card. I use my credit cards as a tool to earn points, get cashback, build my credit and basically get more value out of money. I was already going to spend.
