How I prevent dog fights wit my female dogs 😅🐶 My two girl dogs have attempted to k!ll each other multiple times So let me tell you how I manage and handle fights in our house They have not fought in over a year and I do think a huge reason of that is because Maya got spayed But that does not take away from the fact that I am very cautious about their interactions day to day with each other High energy and prey drive situations is why they would fight in the first place because Callie is very pushy and Maya does not like that Typically Callie would run up on Maya first and then Maya would fight back and then they both would just see red and it was really scary if the dogs are all running around together either Callie or Maya has an ecollar on No exceptions I know some people don't like ecollars but when you witness your dogs almost k!lling each other to me this is just a necessity so that it is in case of the absolute worst Here is an example situation I'm going to let them outside They love to always just run off into the field so instead of letting them all go at once which can cause a lot of tension I let them go individually Teddy Max Normally I let them run off first and then I let Callie go Callie a little less pressure and tension but see how she kinda goes right for Maya I'm always keeping an eye on situations like that They don't have any aggression issues with eating but I would recommend just separating your dogs during meal time because that could be a trigger for a fight Non-negotiable is crating at least one of them while I'm gone They never get alone time together when I am not around If you have two dogs that have fought you just wanna have a lot of structure which is what we do And I give them a lot of downtime to just rest and not be irritable And some dogs just do better not always interacting with each other and that is okay You should not feel guilty for doing separate things with separate dogs if that is what's best for them
