Starting to get concerned about your fascination with this topic. Grant Cardone was born and raised in a hub of Southwest Louisiana, Lake Charles. He graduated from McNeese State University in 1981 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. But to him, college is just a path to middle class. What you really need to be financially stable is an education that is cheap. Just $5,000 a year. And for an education from an unaccredited university that constantly tries to upsell you. Sounds like a pretty good deal. For nine years of his life, Grant struggled with substance abuse. He hit rock bottom at 25 when his mom couldn't him off and he admitted himself into a treatment facility. While he was there, somebody gave him the foundational book of Scientology, Dianetics. Dianetics for all intents and purposes is Scientology's bible. It's like if you were to run into Tom Cruise on the side of the street, he'd probably try to sell you this book. Grant believes that this book... Though discredited by the medical and scientific establishment, over 100,000 copies of Dianetics were sold in the first two years of publication, and Hubbard soon found himself lecturing across the country. He went on to write six more books in 1951, developing a significant fan base, and establishing the Hubbard Dianetics Research Foundation in Elizabeth, New Jersey. explains why he has a drug addiction.
