Grant Cardone locked a lawyer's suitcase in a room after a 16-hour deposition because he wanted to get his way. And somehow it worked. Grant Cardone posted on July 20th, second where you can see him berating opposing counsel for just thinking about designating his deposition as confidential. After taking my deposition, Ross, for 16 hours. You're telling me that you want to say that what I shared with you is confidential? Stuff? No. You're not letting me access to my suitcase. Not right now. But why are his panties in a twist? Well, Cardone is currently involved in a class action lawsuit that began in 2020. For the past six years, he's been accused of misleading investors and omitting the SEC's concerns regarding how much money the investors of his real estate funds will make. Starting up Cardone Equity Funds 5 and 6 in 2018, Cardone projected an approximate 15% annualized return on investment, which is the average amount of money the investors can expect to earn each year. And then the SEC wrote him a letter saying, you can't say that. You can't say that they can expect to earn 15%. So you know what he did? He said it anyway. You know what a good uncle does? You're going to walk away with a 15% annualized return if I'm in that deal for 10 years, you're going to earn 150% on your money. You can tell the SEC, that's what I said. That's what it would be. That's what a good uncle does. I wish my uncle did that. This case was dismissed twice. Last year, a judge reversed the second dismissal, which brings us to the deposition that took place three weeks ago. Grant was questioned for 16 hours by opposing counsel. And really, I mean, really. One of the deposition that Grant was beside himself. At the thought of 16 hours of him talking about himself being hidden from the public. That tracks. The funny part is opposing counsel didn't even say no to releasing the deposition. The attorney stated he wanted to talk to his team and that he'd have an answer for Grant in 48 hours. But that just wasn't good enough. Grant. So the only rational answer is to refuse to access to his suitcase until the judge was contacted and he got his way. Specifically, Mr. Mathur alleges that Mr. Cardone physically touched counsel for Plaintiff Raj Mathur, prevented him from accessing his personal items in order to leave Cardone Capital's offices, and berated him as he left Cardone Capital's offices.
