Van Cleef is releasing a new pink enamel Alhambra collection. I believe it's part of their permanent line and people are super divided over it. This is super controversial because it's definitely the most vibrant color they have, whereas I feel like Van Cleef in the past has been known for like subtle tones that maybe are a bit more understated. This is using a translucent pink enamel and the enamel piece also is quite controversial. So the enamel is made with their technique that's inspired by historic glass making processes and they've developed their own enamel workshops and they've developed their own processes over several years, but they leave these little air bubbles that come through this like glass making process. They leave them in because they scatter light and they make each piece unique. The vibrant pink color is certainly not for everyone. I personally really like it. I think it pairs really well with the yellow gold. But some people feel like the enamel gives it a look of like resin or plastic kind of vibe because Van Cleef is also known for their use of natural materials like their mother of pearl is iconic. The collection is going to launch in September of this year. I didn't see any official press drop, this is kind of like the rumblings going around the Van Cleef collector forums and things. So I guess we'll stay tuned. But I personally really like it. I think it's fine. Uh, I don't own anything from Van Cleef, but I think this is pretty and I think that it's going to sell. Like.
