What vet visits look like with an aloof Boerboel. The most common questions I get is how do I take my Boerboel to the vet? Today, Gronk has a vet appointment. So I thought I'd bring you guys along and show you what it looks like to bring a very spicy Boerboel to the vet. Gronk, let's go. Good boy. Step 1: Make sure the lobby is clear of other dogs/cats. This is a stressful environment and we don't want on leash greetings. Hello. I just want to make sure the lobby is going to be clear that room. Okay, I'll go get him. Step 2: Muzzle on. Muzzle. You want to chicken heart? Yes. Good boy. The vet staff deserves to feel safe while doing their job. The vet staff deserves to feel safe while doing their job. Step 3: Straight to our room. No hanging out in the lobby. Thank you. Hi. How are you? How are you? He's got a pustule in between his toes. In between this toe and this toe. Been using those wipes for about a week and a half, twice a day. The bump is still there, but it's not red and inflamed. I'll be right back. Okay, thank you. Step 4: Make sure there were no dogs or cats walking through the back where he was going to be examined. Doing a great job. Settling, buddy. Step 5: I walk him into the back so he's less likely to resist. Touch. Yes. Stay. 131.4 pounds. Where are you lost for pounds? Okay. Let's go see how much you weigh. Step 6: Make the handoff quick. I'll take him from here. I'll be right back. Bye. Thank you so much. Bye. Step 7: Check out in the room, so there's no hanging out in the lobby. We got to pay your bills. 133.3. You're so handsome. Look at you. Step 8: Make sure the lobby is clear of other animals before walking out. Okay, clear. Thank you. Bye. Step 9: Muzzle off. Oh, he's free. Step 10: Reward for good behavior! Good boy. You did so good. Want to go home and eat dinner? Yes. Okay. Good boy. You did so good. Want to go home and eat dinner? Yes. Okay. That was fast. Did he do so good? Yes. Okay. I'll take him.
