And at some point in your 20s, you're gonna need a friendship that goes beyond the surface. Everything is all fun and games until you go through a season of grief or deep heartache. Lose a loved one, lose a job, lose yourself. The Bible says that iron sharpens iron. And while that can be a little intimidating, it's just very important that you have your one or two friends that you trust, who are on the same path as you, have the same interests as you, that can pick you up when you're down and vice versa. Or even warn you when they start seeing the signs. Keeping friendships at a surface, that's just not gonna cut it. How can somebody learn you or your body language when they're not even around you enough to know? When I was going through one of the toughest seasons of my life, my best friend saw the signs. Anytime I said I was fine, she immediately would know that I wasn't. I also wasn't thinking straight. When I told her I didn't want company, she came anyway cause she understood the severity of the situation I was going through. She knew I did not need to be alone. But again, people cannot know these things about you if you're not taking the time to go deeper beyond the surface. There's nothing wrong with categorizing people, because I definitely don't believe that everybody should have access to you and everything about you. Doing This and knowing who my very few real friends are has saved me from friendship hurt. And it's also helped me as a believer, because I could tell them when I stumble, and Imma give them every detail too. And they either gonna rebuke me or we gonna pray about it. If you feel like there's something keeping you from wanting to go deeper with your friends, I believe that's the area in your life that you need to invite god into so he can heal that cause. Friendships are necessary. We were not built to walk out life alone. Anyways, love you, bookie. Have a good day.
