Are you planning to take a Flixbus this year when you're travelling across Europe? Be very careful. Know the potential dangers you're exposing yourself to and how to stay safe. Above all, the most important advice when travelling on Flixbus is avoid checking in items such as luggage. If you must check in luggage, make sure that luggage is very heavy. Too heavy for anyone to take. Luggage that are light enough, make it be taken. Keep valuable items: phone, passport, expensive devices/ jewellery ON your body. Always keep these items along with other valuables on your body. Make sure they're in your pockets, if you have a cross bag, put it there. Never store them in the overhead compartment, seat back pocket or even under your seat etc. Always keep them on you. Always keep them on you at all times. Going back to luggage, always make sure you are aware for the times when the bus stops by. If you have luggage checked in, always make sure you are awake and you are completely aware of your luggage that's being taken out of the bus. Make sure nobody, either mistakenly or purposefully takes your luggage. If you see somebody taking what looks to be your luggage, tell the bus driver. If you choose to sleep. DO NOT put your valuables in the top compartments or under your seat etc. Always aim for a morning-afternoon journey (avoid booking at night). There is a reason why bus travels in the morning and afternoon are more expensive than nighttime. It is during the night where it is most likely that your luggage might get stolen along the way, even within the bus. You yourself might lose items along the way, even within the bus. Take precaution and if the bus is only 5 to 7 hours long, if you can, avoid sleeping. If you must sleep, at least know which time the bus stops and always look around, checking all your belongings are with you each time the bus stops until you reach your destination. Stay safe.
