If there is one thing that you needed to know, apartment complexes don't take making 3x the rent lightly at all. Somebody commented on one of my videos and basically said how credit score was good, not that many collections, and anything that you could think of that attributes to the decision in the process when you go to apply for an apartment, right? That person still got denied. Which leaves only one option. Income. And as much as you may not believe it, people really get denied every single day from apartment complexes strictly because of that income. So this is just a reminder that most complexes do 2.5 to 3 times the rent of your gross income. So in that case, I've kind of got good news and bad news for you. If an apartment complex is denying you because your gross income does not match 3 times the rent, then that's a slight indicator that maybe you can't afford the apartment complex that you're trying to apply to. And only the finance gurus can kind of understand that because it is recommended that you don't spend more than about 30% of your income on living. And that's a good sign for all the people who are still living at home or living with family members. If somebody is charging you a certain amount of rent that seems extremely high, and you know it sounds ridiculous, do the math on it. Because a lot of times people are in living situations where they're going to be able to save up enough money to get their own place in new flash, your finances are being depleted. It's going to take you longer to save that much money because somebody's taking advantage of you financially. And all the people who are still living at home or living with family members.
