If you're looking for a high yield savings account but you're just not sure which one to use, this video is for you. This is part three of my top three high yield savings accounts for 2026. And if you're new here, I'm Rob. I break down personal finance for all those that weren't taught this stuff growing up. Save this video for later so when you're sitting down, you can actually select and choose which high yield savings account you want to make. Like in all other videos of our series, we're going to go with our three baselines here, which is no monthly fees, no minimum deposits, and a good APY. Because that's the entire point of this video, is the savings account. Now, again, no particular order are top spot here is AMEX and their high yield savings account. It's good because they have a 3% APY, which is kind of our baseline here for any sort of account we're talking about on the channel. In addition to that, they do offer a checking account, which could be useful if you want to use it as both your savings account for your emergency fund and have access to checking's account. Going to the con side, 3% is really kind of on the edge, as I said earlier, it's kind of our minimum baseline, anything less than that's just not really worth talking about currently with the current rates, everything offers. Additionally, they don't offer any special introductory rates and they don't have any bonuses, which could be a deal breaker depending on for some people. Now on our number two spot here, we have forbrite and they offer a 3.85% APY, which is phenomenal. In addition to that, if you care about social issues, they are a partner of the National Park Foundation. So that's just a great benefit using storing your money with them because it's all going to a good cause. On the con side, and I know we talked about no minimum deposits, but they do have a $1,000 deposit. If you want that introductory offer rate to deposit, you need to make a minimum deposit of $1,000, but if you already have any kind of emergency fund set up, that $1,000 should already be in your account. So I don't think it's a huge negative given the other offers of this bank. In our number three spot, again, no particular order is Openbank. And what's great about them is they offer a 3.80% APY, which is standard, which is pretty good. Additionally, they do offer fingerprint and face scanning security, which can be a positive. Now on the con side, again, the baseline here is $500 deposit. And if you already have any kind of emergency fund kind of set up, that $500 is really not a huge barrier to entry. So I think it's worth the tradeoff there. Additionally, depending on how you look at it, their fingerprint and face scanning technology security, it can be either a con or a pro, depending on how you look at it. That wraps up part three here. Have I covered your bank in this series yet? Let me know down below. And let me know if there are any other banks you'd like me to cover.
