Why it worked
The video taps into a relatable social observation about assumptions and identity, using a popular cultural reference (Glee) to engage a broad audience. The creator's confident and direct delivery, combined with a slightly provocative premise, likely encouraged shares and comments.
Summary
The creator discusses how "Disney adults" often fail to recognize or acknowledge someone's sexuality, using the example of Kurt from Glee. She argues that these individuals often misinterpret masculinity as a sign of being gay and then become defensive when the creator correctly identifies someone's sexuality.
Structure
- 1Introduction of the topic: Disney adults lack gaydar.
- 2Example of Kurt from Glee and the creator's assertion of his sexuality.
- 3Critique of women who misinterpret masculinity and assume sexuality.

Transcript
You know something that's been a whirlwind since I posted that video is I've realized so many Disney adults have no gaydar. Okay? Because you'll have a motherfucker that looks like Kurt from Glee. I'll let me throw up a picture of Kurt. Hold on. And then they're telling me how dare you say he's gay and assume his sexuality. Let me ask the audience. This is how these women try to gag me. They're like, well, you come across more masculine. How would you like it if I said you were a lesbian? Ding ding ding ding ding. The blind can see. The lame can walk. Yes. I am. These straight women are thinking I'm hurling around the word gay as if it's an insult. No, I just recognize my own people. And they refuse to believe that because that would mean that they are making these men uncomfortable. And they are being uncomfortable. But of course, they don't want to admit that.
