DAY 1 — STOP FEEDING THE WOUND Mute, unfollow, archive, delete the screenshots, remove the reminders you keep using to trigger yourself. You don’t need to hate them. You need to stop reopening the wound you’re asking to heal. DAY 2 — TELL YOURSELF THE WHOLE TRUTH Write down what you miss—but also write down what hurt. What did you tolerate? What did you repeatedly ask for? Who did you become trying to keep the relationship? Don’t let nostalgia tell the entire story. DAY 3 — TAKE YOUR POWER BACK Write two lists: “What was theirs to own” and “What was mine to own.” Take responsibility for your mistakes without carrying theirs. Accountability gives you power. Blame keeps you waiting. DAY 4 — MOVE YOUR BODY Go for a walk. Lift weights. Run. Stretch. Get outside. Don’t spend another entire day lying in bed negotiating with your thoughts. Sometimes you have to move your body before your mind can catch up. DAY 5 — GIVE IT TO GOD Pray about what you keep trying to control. Tell God exactly what you’re afraid of losing. Then surrender the outcome. You don’t have to know what God is removing before you trust what He’s doing. DAY 6 — DO SOMETHING THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM Work on your body. Your career. Your home. Your friendships. Your purpose. Learn something. Build something. Create something. Start giving your brain evidence that your life is bigger than this heartbreak. DAY 7 — CHOOSE YOURSELF OUT LOUD Write this down: “I can miss them without going back. I can love them without chasing them. I can regret my mistakes without living in shame. I can forgive them without reopening the door. And I can forgive myself without becoming who I used to be.” Then ask yourself one final question: “What kind of person do I want to become because I went through this?” That’s your next chapter. Not getting them back. Getting yourself back. Caption / Descriptive Text If you’ve been feeling stuck, stop waiting for motivation to magically show up. Sometimes healing needs structure. For the next seven days, stop making your healing dependent on whether they text you, whether they miss you, whether they’re with someone else, or whether you finally get the closure you’ve been waiting for. Make the next seven days about you. You don’t have to heal your entire life in seven days. You just need seven days of making choices that move you toward yourself instead of back toward the wound. And if you mess up one day? Don’t quit. Start again the next morning. Healing isn’t perfection. It’s repetition. It’s choosing the healthier response over and over until eventually it becomes who you are. And remember: You don’t have to stop loving someone to start loving yourself correctly.
